R2 Ranch – 4-H Event

Honoring Central Oregon’s rich ranching heritage, Dr. Robert Pamplin Jr. and the R2 Ranch organizes, hosts, and promotes a 4-H Rodeo Events every year for the benefit and training of local 4-H Clubs and their members. The Rodeo is fun for the whole family and includes races and other equestrian competitions. Take a look at the 2018 event in this video.

Shaniko

Shaniko, Oregon first inhabited in 1862, and incorporated in 1901, was once a valuable transportation hub of Central Oregon. In the first decade of the 20th century, Shaniko was known as the “Wool Capital of the World” and was the center of a 20,000 square mile wool, wheat, cattle and sheep production. Now know as one of “Oregon’s Ghost Towns” Shaniko attracts tourists and curiosity seekers. Take a tour of this storied town in our video presentation.

R2 Ranch, The best of the best

Located in beautiful Central Oregon near the town of Madras, the 60,000 acre R2 Ranch is a picture of productivity and rich diversity.
The ranch, which is 30 miles long and 15 miles wide in places, includes recreation areas, a bounty of wildlife, and comprehensive rangeland and water management plans.
